Happy October 1st everyone! Are you getting ready for Halloween? We kicked off the Halloween festivities with a little party/sleepover this weekend, in honor of the new kids movie Hotel Transylvania coming to theater. Since it just came out we haven’t seen it yet {but plan to} however the trailer looks too cute plus its “spooky” without being scary for kiddos which I love.
To prepare for the party we headed to Smart & Final, which boy have I missed since moving to the Midwest. {been out west for the past few weeks visiting family} Right now they are offering a special deal, when you buy two First Street bakery items you receive a free ticket to see Hotel Transylvania. {awesome deal! For more info click here} We picked up a red velvet cake and some mini chocolate donuts from the bakery section then continued on picking up other great First Street items. If you’d like to see our whole Smart & Final shopping adventure, you can check it out right on my Google + page.
For the party I wanted to stick to fun kid friendly foods that would go along with the movie characters. So we had…
- Vampire Blood Cake {First Street Red Velvet Bundt Cake}
- Black Spider Donuts {Using First Street Donuts}
- Grave Yard Pudding
- Mummy Hot Dogs
- Brain Cheese Ball
- Monster Eye Eggs
- Frankenstein Pudding
- Mummy Pizza
- Vampire Blood Juice
