Have you been making any fun and yummy Thanksgiving recipes? How about some great crafts? I have a few Thanksgiving crafts and recipes up my sleeve that I’ll be posting over the next couple weeks. Be sure to tune in for those but to get things started off here is my fun pilgrim hat cookies I made this week…

Supplies

  • Cookie Dough {from scratch or premade mix}
  • Milk Chocolate Chips
  • Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Miniatures
  • Orange Gel or Icing
  • Wax Paper

1. Prepare and make your cookies as directed by your recipe then let cool for 30 minutes.

2. Place Cookies on wax paper

3. Begin melting milk chocolate chips in microwave, be sure to check on them every 15-20 seconds.

4. Take your Reese’s cups out of the wrappers, I found it easier to just do this all at the same time.

5. Smooth melted milk chocolate chips on the top of your cookie then place Reese’s cup in the middle of cookie, then repeat with the rest of your cookies. Then place in the freezer for 20 minutes.

6. Coat the Reese’s cup on the top of the cookie with the leftover melted milk chocolate chips (you will need to melt the chocolate in the micro again). Then repeat with the rest of your cookies, and place in freezer for another 20minutes.

7. Use your orange gel or icing to make your buckle and strap around the Reese’s cup as pictured above. Repeat with the rest of your cookies

8. Enjoy with a nice glass of milk!
